Julia Pyke
Enrichment Club Supervisor
After working in banking for 13 years and then having a family, I decided to undertake qualifications in teaching adult basic skills. I worked as a lecturer for my local college for some years before moving to Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Family Learning Team. Here, I helped parents gain qualifications and also helped to equip them to support their children’s learning, particularly their literacy skills.
In 2014 I became a Passion for Learning 1:1 volunteer in a school and the following year became an Enrichment Club supervisor.
I have always enjoyed working with children, either at my church or as part of my job role. I am proud to be part of the enthusiastic Passion for Learning team and I really enjoy giving the children the opportunity to have fun, learn and experience new things.
