Diane Clark

Chief Executive Officer

I have been working with children in many different capacities for over 40 years.  Having completed a psychology degree at Liverpool University, my career started in play and community work in Halton where I ran a Playcentre for 5-16 year olds and set up the first ‘Latchkey Scheme’ long before after school clubs existed.

After a few years’ break to have my own family I returned to qualify as a Primary School Teacher. Having worked in Early Years I then became a lecturer in Further Education teaching a wide range of Health and Social Care subjects. I left the College to go down to London to manage a children’s home for a full year before returning to buy and manage a shop on the Wirral and spend time with my family.

Passion for Learning is a result of very many different experiences and roles that I have had with children of all ages and from all walks of life. I am a passionate believer in the power of play, fun, enthusiasm and motivation because I have seen lives transformed when children start to enjoy learning and believe in themselves. This is my dream job and there is still so much to do. You’re never too old to go for your dreams and one of our missions is to give the children that we work with their own dreams and the skills and determination to make them come true.
