Cheshire Media Shares Their Net Profits to Support Children’s Charity Passion for Learning
Cheshire Media (a local business magazine and online media channel) has agreed to donate 1% of their turnover each month to directly support the work of Passion for Learning. In addition, Cheshire Media will be helping us to raise our profile, including reaching out to potential volunteers and businesses who could also help us extend the work that we do and the number of children we can support across Cheshire West and Chester.
As a charitable community organisation, Passion for Learning rely on the support of businesses in the region to enable us to sustain and grow. The agreement to support came about following a conversation between Cheshire Media’s Managing Editor Joseph Taylor and Diane Clark in October. It was clear from the conversation that the work we do at Passion for Learning really struck a chord with Joseph Taylor.
He said, “Passion for Learning bring experiences and opportunities to the children which they would never otherwise encounter. It’s such a worthy cause, so we were just happy to help in whatever way we could.”
Diane Clark, Director of Passion for Learning explained, “Support such as this from Cheshire Media underpins our work to provide children with bespoke opportunities and experiences that they need to become competent readers and enthusiastic learners. In this way, we are helping to ensure that they can fulfil their true potential both at school and in their future. Cheshire Media’s help will also aid us in recruiting more volunteers, so we can help as many children who need our support as possible.”
While the funding will help more children to gain from the opportunity to attend our growing network of Enrichment clubs and other fun learning experiences, the promotion of Passion for Learning will enable us to grow our presence in the wider community, which we recognise is crucial in helping us to extend the services we provide to the children who need it most.
