Diane is a psychology graduate and qualified teacher with 30 years experience of working with and on behalf of children and young people.
Diane worked for 10 years in play and youth work in one of the region’s most deprived areas before training as a primary school teacher with Early Years and Literacy as her specialisms. She moved on to teach NNEB, Health and Social Care, Psychology, Child Development and Counselling courses in Further Education.
Having also managed a children’s home in Tottenham for twelve months, Diane has a wealth of experience of motivating some of the most vulnerable children and young people.
In recent years Diane has worked for a charity and been responsible for recruiting, training and supporting over 160 volunteers currently working with vulnerable children in over 100 schools. Working in partnership with a number of LACES teams she has seen her trainees achieve a wealth of life changing results with some of the region’s most challenging children. Diane has worked in partnership with dozens of schools and settings throughout the northwest to achieve the best outcomes for hundreds of children by supporting volunteers to use imagination, fun, passion and sheer determination!
